We are a West Michigan-based, private garage gym, offering 1:1, small group, and online barbell coaching, as well as certified nutrition coaching services. Since 2021, our client-centered approach has served people of *all* ages and abilities. Meet Your Coaches
Robert Harrison
Barbell Coach
Working in long term care for more than 20 years, Robert has witnessed the predictable patterns of aging and frailty, as well as the injuries that are associated with aging. In 2015, he began his barbell journey as a way to improve his functional strength in his secondary profession as a paid-on-call firefighter. He soon saw the connection between weight training and improved aging. Dr. Jonathan Sullivan's great work, "The Barbell Prescription" inspired him to become a Barbell Logic-trained coach.
Kristin Harrison
Assistant Barbell Coach, PN1-CNC, GGS-CMCS
Kristin Harrison is a strength and nutrition coach offering evidence-based guidance in nutrition and movement. Her model of coaching is uniquely compassionate, as she herself was a medical nutrition patient for nearly two years. Kristin is familiar with the diverse metabolic challenges men & women face in all seasons of life, regardless of fitness level. She is trained to support clients with 1:1 or small group consultation, create individualized meal plans, provide weekly accountability, and assist with other aspects of deep health (change psychology, sleep/recovery, hormone health).
